The four ways in

AREX Express — ₩13,000, 43–51 min, non-stop to Seoul Station

Reserved seats and luggage racks, every 25–40 minutes from about 05:20 to 22:50. Best if your hotel is near Seoul Station or you're connecting to KTX. Buy at the AREX Express ticket machines or counter (foreign cards accepted). Children ₩9,500.

AREX All-stop — ₩4,750 (T1) / ₩5,350 (T2), about an hour

A normal subway line that stops at Gimpo Airport, Digital Media City, Hongik University (Hongdae), Gongdeok and Seoul Station. Pay with T-money. Cheapest by far and the best choice for Hongdae. Runs about 05:20 to 23:40 from the airport.

Limousine bus — ₩17,000–18,000, 60–90 min

Dozens of routes stopping near hotels in Myeongdong, Gangnam, Hongdae, Dongdaemun and Jamsil. No transfers; luggage goes underneath. Buy at the kiosks outside arrivals or tap T-money on board. Routes 6001 and 6015 (Myeongdong) and 6009 (Gangnam) are the visitor favourites. After about 23:30 only a few N6000-series night routes run, roughly hourly.

Taxi — about ₩55,000–75,000 daytime, 50–80 min

Door to door. A standard taxi seats four, but three with suitcases is realistic; a jumbo taxi (about ₩90,000+) takes up to six with luggage. Prices include the ₩3,200 bridge toll. After 23:00 expect roughly ₩75,000–90,000, depending on destination and traffic. Follow the "Taxi" signs on the arrivals level and ignore anyone offering a ride inside the terminal. Taxis run all night.

From Gimpo Airport (domestic flights and some Japan, China and Taiwan routes): subway Line 5, Line 9 or AREX for ₩1,550–2,050 in 30–60 minutes depending on where you're going; taxi ₩20,000–40,000.

The AREX All-stop train: it stops at Hongik University station for ₩4,450 in about 50 minutes. The bus costs three to four times more and isn't faster.
